SLOUGH Town made it five wins on the bounce in the Southern Premier Division after a 5-3 victory at Biggleswade Town on Tuesday.

The Rebels had not won five consecutive league matches since September but this latest purple patch sees them a step closer to securing a position in the play-offs.

Two goals from Chris Flood plus one by Manny Williams, his 15th of the season, gave Slough a clear lead heading into the half-time interval at Langford Road.

Biggleswade pulled two goals back through Nathan Hicks and Connor Hall after the restart, before Flood scored again to complete his hat-trick and bag the Rebels' 100th league goal of the season.

The home team pulled another back through Greg Kaziboni but Slough substitute Perry Coles secured all three points with a goal two minutes into time added on.

The win means Slough have moved up one position to fourth place in the league table and 15 points above Royston Town in sixth place. The Rebels require just one more win from their five remaining fixtures to secure a position in the play-offs.

Slough welcome title-chasing Kings Lynn Town to Arbour Park this Saturday (3pm), before a trip to Hitchin Town next Monday (7.45pm).

Burnham remain bottom in the Hellenic Premier Division after a 4-0 defeat at Thatcham Town on Tuesday.

Two goals from Liam Ferdinand plus strikes by Ross Cook and Dan Rapley secured all three points for Thatcham at Waterside Park.

Burnham have five matches remaining this season to fight relegation, starting with a trip to seventh-placed Brimscombe & Thrupp this Saturday (3pm).

Chalvey Sports saw their Division Two East match at Chalfont Wasps Reserves postponed on Tuesday due to a waterlogged pitch at Crossleys.

The Stabmonks are in second position in the table and five points behind Abingdon United Development but with two matches in hand on the league leaders.

Chalvey travel to Chinnor Reserves on Thursday (7.45pm) and then Abingdon United Development this Saturday (3pm).
