JON Underwood wants Slough Town to finish the regular season in winning form and take that momentum into the play-offs.

The Rebels secured their position in the Southern Premier Division play-offs after a 2-2 draw with promotion rivals Kings Lynn Town at Arbour Park on Saturday.

Their gruelling schedule continued with a 1-0 win at Hitchin Town on Monday, before exiting the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup after a 4-1 semi-finals defeat at home to MK Dons on Wednesday.

Slough finish the regular season with a trip to Dorchester Town this Saturday (3pm) and then Royston Town on Tuesday (7.45pm), before the same side visit Arbour Park on April 28.

Rebels joint-boss Underwood told the Observer: “The last few weeks have been about squad rotation and putting the right side out for the match, but the lads have been brilliant with some superb results.

“We want to win every game now and amass as many points as we can. We would love to finish with 99 points, that would mean we would have made a massive improvement on last season.

“We want to finish as strong as we can and take that into the play-offs. We didn’t do that last season and it told in the semi-finals.

“Our aim at the moment is around keeping players fit and not playing those who have knocks, but we don’t have a weak or best team. We put out the most fresh players and those that are right for the game at hand.

“We’ve now got a few days off and a chance for the squad to rest a little. We will assess a few knocks and decide if players are ready this Saturday or whether it will come too soon for some.”
