Sean Sonner was on target against Bedworth United.
SLOUGH Town showed their mettle on Tuesday night with a 4-2 victory at Bedworth United.
The Rebels let a two goal lead slip but hit back once again to claim a well deserved three points.
Manager Steve Bateman admitted: "Last (Tuesday) night reminded me of how difficult it can be in terms of midweek away games in the Midlands (Division).
"They are tough trips and with people not being able to make it away from work, Chris Herron didn't get there until just before half time but it showed our strength of squad.
"We could play Dwain Clarke who is quality left sided player and he showed it."
Steve Sinclair, after being denied earlier, lobbed the goalkeeper having been put through in the 37th minute and the advantage was doubled eight minutes into the second half when Sean Sonner finished a neat passing move in his first start for the Rebels having signed permanently.
Elliot Buchanan hit the crossbar but the hosts got back into the game with 20 minutes to go when Dean Harper, who had only been on the pitch for a few seconds following a cynical tackle on captain Paul Edgeworth, put the ball into his own net.
Balone then levelled matters with just nine minutes to go although the Rebels hit back immediately.
Dean Clark curled a free-kick into the top corner and the points were made safe by substitute Simon Martin in the dying minutes.
