Sean Sonner came off the bench to grab the crucial second.

SLOUGH Town secured a much needed three points with a 2-0 victory over Soham Town Rangers on Saturday.

Having only won once in their previous five games without keeping a cleansheet, the result was a welcome one.

Simon Martin and substitute Sean Sonner provided the goals to set up the Rebels for Tuesday evening's home match with Leighton Town.

It will be a tough test against one of the sides chasing Slough for a play-off spot but Steve Bateman will be hoping to complete the double over Leighton havign already won their earlier in the campaign.
