SECTION 16A ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS -ST GEORGE'S DAY CELEBRATIONS
HARROW COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that they have made a Traffic Order under the provisions of section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that shall temporarily close High Street, Pinner and introduce waiting restrictions in addition to the existing waiting restrictions to allow an event known as the St Georges Day Celebrations to take place. The general effect of the order shall be:-
1. Vehicles shall be prohibited from entering and waiting in High Street, Pinner between its junctions with Bridge Street and Grange Gardens between 8am and 6pm on 23rd April 2017.
2. The provisions of the order will not have effect unless all the signs provided in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are displayed.
3. The provisions listed in paragraph 1 shall not apply to:-
(a) any vehicle being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a traffic warden;
(c) any person who causes any vehicle to proceed in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed pursuant to Section 66 or Section 67 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984;
(d) prevent residents gaining access to their property, as far as is practicably possible;
(e) any vehicles that are being used in connection with the operation of the St Georges Day Celebrations event.
4. Diversion routes for the closure of High Street, Pinner will be either:-
(a) via Church Lane, Nower Hill, Marsh Road to Bridge Street, or;
(b) via Paines Lane, Leighton Avenue and Love Lane to Bridge Street.
