SECTION 14(1 )(A) ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
TEMPORARY WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS -EASTCOTE ROAD, CANNON LANE & WHITTINGTON WAY
THE COUNCIL OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HARROW HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Management order under the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991. This is to allow a new gas supply to take place.
1. This order may be cited as The Harrow (Instalcom 5) Temporary Traffic Order 2019, and would be operational on 30th April 2019 and would remain in effect until 13th June 2019 or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is anticipated that all of the work should be complete by 13th May 2019.
2. No person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load at any time, when signs are in place on
(i) Eastcote Road;
(a) The south side, between a point opposite the eastern boundary wall of No. 35 Eastcote Road and a point opposite the western boundary wall of Nos. 61 Eastcote Road.
(ii) Cannon Lane;
(a) The east side, between a point 4.00 metres north of a point opposite the northern boundary wall of No. 10 Cannon Lane and a point 11.51 metres south of a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 47 and 47A Cannon Lane;
(b) The west side, between a point opposite the northern boundary wall of No. 9 Cannon Lane and a point 19.42 metres north of a point opposite the extended north-eastern kerb-line of Lyncroft Avenue;
(c) The service road fronting Nos. 42A and 60 Cannon Lane, the east side.
3. Nothing in paragraph 2 above would apply to:-
(a) any vehicles being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer;
(c) any person who causes any vehicle to proceed in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed pursuant to Section 66 or Section 67 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984;
(d) any vehicles used in connection with the utility works.
4. The provisions of the order would not have effect unless all the signs in accordance with the provisions of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are displayed, removed or covered, or unless at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer.
