The Queen will open the new Britwell centre.

Her Majesty will be joined by His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh to officially open the centre, in Wentworth Avenue, on Friday, April 5.

During the visit Her Majesty will be touring the new building including the kitchens, main hall and new library and meeting residents who have been part of the regeneration of Britwell.

She will also be unveiling a plaque to mark the visit.

Leader of the council, Rob Anderson, said: "We are honoured The Queen is coming to officially open the Britwell Centre.

"We are proud of the regeneration of the neighbourhood and we and our communities are delighted to welcome The Queen to Slough."

The Britwell Centre is a new community building for local residents and will house the new library, catering and learning kitchens, offices and meeting space, a caf� and the family contact centre.
