WORK has begun on a £2.5m pavement improvement programme across Buckinghamshire.
Bucks County Council has identified 49 sites across the county for the footway treatment programme, which began last week.
Transport for Bucks will carry out the works until March next year, with five locations in South Bucks identified.
Lent Rise Road in Burnham, Ingleglen in Farnham Common, Church Road in Iver Heath, Old Slade Lane in Iver, and Tubwell Road Estate in Wexham Street, Stoke Poges will all be improved, but dates for the work have not been set.
Ruth Vigor-Hedderly, cabinet member for transport, said: “It is fantastic to see footways across the county getting the attention they deserve. With the additional money that has been spent on road repairs over the last few years, it is great to see good work now being done on the footways too.”
