A MAN has been charged in connection with a rape in Slough.
Christopher Rode, aged 30, of Granville Avenue, Slough, was charged this morning with two counts of the rape of a woman, one count of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, one count of threats to kill and one count of possession of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis.
The charges are in connection with alleged offences against a 56-year-old woman in Slough Crematorium in Stoke Road, Slough, on Monday and a drugs offence yesterday.
Rode was arrested yesterday and was remanded in custody at Slough Magistrates’ Court today.
He will appear again at Reading Crown Court at a date on or around June 13.
