STAFF were threatened as armed robbers targeted a Post Office.
Robbers stole a till, including all of its content, from Richings Park Post Office in Wellesley Avenue at around 5.20pm yesterday (Wednesday).
Two men, one armed with a baseball bat, threatened staff while carrying out the robbery, and police have urged for any witnesses to come forward.
Det Con Richard Bazeley, officer in the case, said: “Thankfully, no one was injured during yesterday’s incident.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have seen anything or has any information to come forward as soon as possible.
“It is possible that the two men made their escape in a dark coloured Volkswagen car in the direction of Richings Way.”
Both men are described as white. One was approximately 5ft 10ins, of average build, aged between 30 and 40 years old, wearing a face covering and dark clothing.
The second man is described as being slightly taller, chubbier in build and aged in his forties. He also wore dark clothing.
If you have any information, contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
