The tragic victim of a fatal car crash who died after her vehicle was in collision with a lorry earlier this week near Iver was today named at Ayesha Farooq.

The Uxbridge Road junction with Black Park Road was branded a “death trap” by residents as they called on the council to take action. Their pleas for help followed two tragic road deaths in as many days.

Today Ayesha Farooq, 23, was named as one of the victims of the horrific crashes, and a memorial service will be held at the Diamond Road Mosque in Slough shortly before her funeral this afternoon.

The young woman died following a crash at around 7.50pm on Wednesday after her silver Volkswagen Golf collided with a blue Ford Fiesta and a lorry.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Ford, a man in his twenties, was taken to St Mary's Hospital in Paddington after suffering "life changing injuries".

That incident came just over 24 hours after a man in his forties died near to the junction with Black Park Road at around 11am on Tuesday after his motorbike left the road.

Residents have called for measures to be introduced on the stretch of road, and a petition gained hundreds of signatures within a matter of hours of the shocking deaths.

A George Green resident, who did not want to be named, said there have been numerous incidents over the past few years, including deaths and buildings being damaged as cars come off the road.

He said: "It is not very pleasant when you see crash after crash. People's lives are in danger.

"It is very frustrating that the council, combined with the police, have not done much about it. How many crashes do we need for them to do something?

"People cringe when they go past. They know they have to, but when you drive past it is like a mini graveyard. There are memorials there for the man, and for the woman on the other side."

Bucks County Council Cabinet Member for transport, Cllr Mark Shaw, said: “My sincere condolences go to the families who have lost a family member following these two accidents.

"In recent years a number of changes have been made along the A412 to improve road safety, and following a full police investigation we will know more on the cause of these two tragic accidents to determine what safety measures may be needed to prevent future collisions of this type occurring.”
