AN AMBULANCE collided with another vehicle just outside Slough Fire Station last night.

The ambulance, which had been carrying one paramedic at the time, collided with another vehicle, also carrying a single occupant, on Tunns Lane near the A4 intersection, in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters from Slough Fire Station, which is situated right next to the site of the crash, attended the scene.

A spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance Service said: “We were alerted at 1.41am this morning to a traffic incident between a car and one of our rapid response vehicles.”

“We dispatched an ambulance crew and a ambulance officer to the scene to make sure both drivers were alright. Thankfully, nobody was injured, and both drivers were treated at the scene.”

“The ambulance had not had blue lights on at the time of the collision.”

The firefighters were at the scene for approximately 45 minutes, before walking back to the station.

Thames Valley Police also attended the scene of the crash, and are investigating the incident.
