CLIVEDEN hosted the boss of the National Trust last Friday, as the organisation marked reaching five million members.
Dame Helen Ghosh, director-general, thanked the Cliveden team for their hard work in supporting the National Trust, which cares for 775 miles of coastline and over 250,000 hectares of land. Dame Ghosh said: “We can only carry out this programme of maintaining, repairing and improving our places thanks to the support and generosity of our supporters, members and donors.”
The visitor experience manager for Cliveden, Polly Ingham-Watts, said: “I am extremely proud of the whole team and all they do, and the part they play in the National Trust’s strategy. Without our members’ support we couldn’t achieve all the fantastic work we do here.”
Cliveden is the second-busiest site of the National Trust, second only to the Giants Causeway. The manor house and gardens receive over 500,000 visitors a year.
