VOLUNTEERS could be the difference to making the borough’s parks and open spaces even more enjoyable.
Slough Borough Council’s parks team is calling for more volunteers to get on board and help out.
There are a range of activities to help with including planting beds, removing weeds, clearing litter and branches from grass and pathways, repairing ponds and even building new pathways.
The council says it is already ‘very lucky’ to have a small team of loyal volunteers in some of the town’s parks, but it needs more.
If you have spare time or want to get outdoors more, park volunteering could be for you.
Cllr Rob Anderson, cabinet member for environment, said: “It takes a huge amount of time and effort to keep our parks in top condition, which is why our volunteers are so important to us. “If you have any spare time and are interested in helping us please do get in touch.”
