A MAN has been sentenced to a young offenders institution after being found with cannabis and class A drugs.
Kyrone McIntosh-Boyde, 20, of Kerswell Close, Slough, was given a total sentence of 20 months’ detention at a young offenders’ institution at Reading Crown Court on February 7.
He pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply, and one count of possession of a Class A drug.
It follows an incident at around 11.20pm on September 13 last year when McIntosh-Boyde’s car was stopped by police in Long Furlong Drive, Slough.
Officers found cannabis in the car and when he was later searched, officers found a quantity of cocaine on him.
Sgt Natasha Gidda, of the Investigation Hub at Slough, said: “Thames Valley Police is determined to remove illegal drugs from our streets and this conviction is part of our ongoing work to tackle the problem.
“We take every report of drug supply very seriously and encourage anyone with information about this criminal activity to contact police on 101.”
