A special exhibition marking 100 Years of the RAF has been put together by dedicated children.
The children’s group from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Slough and South Bucks were invited by Bob Slater, chairman of the local RAF Association to prepare the exhibition which is on at Burnham Park Hall in Windsor Lane.
The children are aged from six to 14 years of age. They worked during the half term holidays to prepare posters and paintings to mark this historic occasion.
One member prepared a special canvas piece on the history of the RAF and managed to speak to former RAF pilot John Vint– who lives in the area.
Atiq Ahmad Bhatti, President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Slough and South Bucks said: “It’s been an incredible experience in seeing the amazing enthusiasm, time and effort that has been put in by the children’s group, especially as many spent their half term working on the exhibition.
"It shows their interest and passion in preparing material which we are proud to display at Burnham Park Hall. We are thankful to the chairman of the local RAF Association Bob Slater for providing us with an opportunity to contribute towards this historic milestone.”
