A teenage boy was stabbed multiple times in the back on two occasions last night (Friday, April 13).

The 16-year-old was attacked in Alexandra Gardens and Barry Avenue, Windsor between 10pm and 10.10pm, Thames Valley Police have said.

He suffered multiple wounds to his back, caused by a knife, and was hospitalised. Since being treated he has been discharged.

The victim was with a group of teenagers at the time of the incident, police said, and the attackers were also part of a large group.

Officers are searching for the main offender, described as a white teenage boy who was armed with a knife.

Investigating officer, Det Con Chris Jamieson of Force CID, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw the incident itself or saw anything unusual in the area to please come forward.

“I believe the victim was with a group of teenagers when he was attacked by another group.

“If you have any information about the incident, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, please call 101 and quote reference number 43180111093.

“Alternatively, if you don't want to speak to police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details will be taken and you will not go to court.”
