Familiar characters will come with an unusual twist when Windsor Theatre Guild presents its family summer show Hansel and Gretel’s Fairy Tale Adventure.

The show features a wicked witch who puts a spell on the world’s fairy tales, giving them unhappy endings.

Only Hansel and Gretel can save the day. But they have to enlist the help of a host of fairy tale characters including Red Riding Hood, Snow White, the ugly duckling and the prince who has been turned into a frog

Gretel is not pleased after kissing the frog to discover that the witch's spell means he does not turn into a handsome prince - especially as she has just agreed to marry him.

Meanwhile the witch and her sidekicks Smarty the wolf and the treacherous trees are determined to have Hansel and Gretel for dinner.

Can the good fairy save them, when the witch plans to freeze her for 1,000 years.

This great family show can be seen in the gardens of Foxleigh Grove, Forest Green Road, Holyport at 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday, July 14 and 15, 21 and 22.
