A 76-year-old woman suffered multiple injuries in an accident with a car outside the Royal Stag Hotel on the Green at Datchet last night.
An emergency call made at about 7.40pm brought an ambulance, a paramedic team leader in a rapid response vehicle and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance to the scene.
The air ambulance landed on the neareby village green and the village closed off.
After initial treatment at the scene, the pedestrian was flown to the major trauma unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
