Rescuing injured swans is not easy.
They do not always come quietly.
But now the Swan Support charity - based in Horton Road, Datchet - is wrapping the swans in special ‘coats’ made by Windsor based clothes designer Ieva Poriete.
Wendy Hermon from Swan Support said: “The swan wraps enclose their wings and keep them safe while they are travelling to the rescue centre.”
Nick Pritchard, the landlord at the Waterman’s Arms, sponsored the 10 little coats and joined Mrs Hermon and Ms Poriete on the Brocas at Eton - where an obliging feathered friend modelled one of the new safety garments.
