The Slough Half Marathon is back on Sunday, October 14 - after an 18 year break.

Its reappearance after so many years means that this weekend's ever popular Windsor Half Marathon now has a rival after having the field to itself for so many years.

Road closures in Slough will be in place between 8.30am and 1.30pm on the big day, reopening when runners have completed that section of the route.

Drivers will face major disruption.

The event is designed to appeal as much to recreational runners as well as to competitive ones and this year there is a new course covering most of the town’s roads - starting and finishing at Salt Hill Park.

All finishers will received a medal, t-shirt and goodie bag with trophies for the top three male and female finishers and age group winners.

Entries for the half marathon are open on https://www.sportsystems.co.uk/ss/event/SloughHalfMarathon.

The entry fee is £30 or £28 if you belong to an affiliated running club.
