Windsor's hospice is the proud possessor of a new maintenance van.
Debbie Raven, chief executive of the much loved Thames Hospice in Hatch Lane, accepted the keys from Matt Dyer, managing director of Slough based business contract hire company LeasePlan UK.
The Citroen Dispatch will be unmissable out and about in the local community, with its famous hospice green branding also organised by LeasePlan UK.
Mrs Raven said: “The additional set of wheels will make a huge difference to us. Our growing portfolio of shops means that our maintenance team is increasingly on the road carrying out essential work in the stores. Thanks to LeasePlan UK we will be able to respond quickly to urgent maintenance work and keep our shops in tip top condition.”
As part of the donation, LeasePlan UK has included the servicing, maintenance, tyres and MOTs for the lifespan of the vehicle.
Matt Dyer said: “We’ve had the privilege of supporting Thames Hospice since 2007, and are very happy to provide another vehicle for them to carry out this crucial work in our local community. We know the importance and value of a business critical vehicle like this and are delighted to play our part.”
The hospice provides vital support to people needing end of life care on its premises and in their homes.
