A 47-year-old man from Slough has been arrested after a woman was left with serious leg injuries following a crash in Iver.

At around 6.30pm on Saturday (November 3) a white Ford Transit van overtook another vehicle in a 30mph zone in Bangors Road South.

A short while later, the van crossed over to the wrong side of the road, crashing head-on with a white Kia Picanto, causing serious injuries to the 31-year-old female driver.

The van then struck a red Mercedes which was travelling behind the Picanto. The driver of the van then got out and ran off, police said.

The man from Slough has been arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink and driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level is above the limit.

He has been released under investigation.

The driver of the Picanto was taken to Wexham Park Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening leg injuries. She remains in hospital.

Police said the driver of the Mercedes was not injured.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who saw the van before the crash, saw the collision or has dashcam footage of the incident. Call 101 quoting reference number 43180336305.
