PUPILS at St Peter's Church of England Middle School in Old Windsor have become the proud recipients of a new recycling kiosk which scans and collects clear plastic bottles.

The school at Crimp Hill is one of several selected by the Royal Borough to participate in its Greenredeem scheme.

The machine will accept plastic two litre plastic drinks bottles with lids and every one deposited will earn 5p for the school.

Emma Wood, the school's marketing co-ordinator, said: "We have also set up a bin at the front of the school for the local community to donate.

"This is an exciting new recycling project and a great way to raise funds for our school.

"It can get as high as £2,000 and there are plenty of projects at the school that could benefit."
