Calling the whole community in Farnham Common.
Your village schools need you.
Farnham Common Infant and Junior schools have entered a competition that could win them a £10,000 prize that would let them to install a 'state of the art' security system.
It would enable instant ID badges for visitors to be created - as well as an instant register for evacuation in case of fire.
Schools across the country are competing in the competition run by the Stanley Security company to see who can get the most votes from people in their community.
But it has turned into a 'two horse race' between Farnham Common and Mendip Primary School in Somerset.
The schools are 3,500 ahead of the nearest rival but now Mendip has moved ahead of Farnham Common by 25 votes.
Farnham Common headteacher Alison Fischer said: "We are so close to winning such a huge amount of funds for the school but we have slipped into second place.
"We really need the votes of the local community to help us win this fantastic competition which will benefit many hundreds of children for years to come. Please do take two minutes to vote and help us win the competition."
The competition closes Thursday at noon.
