Slough Trading Estate customers will have an opportunity to expand their taste buds with the launch of new food trucks and stalls to the estate this week.

Owner of the estate SEGRO have announced they will be teaming up with street food platform app StreetDots. The partnership will bring a mix of new street food stalls to the Trading Estate, offering customers a mix of different freshly cooked street foods at the newly-refurbished Leigh Road Park site.

The app works with more than 800 independent street trading bands on more than 250 ‘dots’ across the UK. These dots are spots on the ground which hosts different street food trucks and stalls.

Paul Lewis, SEGRO regional director and manager of Slough Trading Estate, said: “This year we’re focused on making life on Slough Trading Estate better for customers in many different ways – from installing ultrafast fibre for businesses, to rejuvenating the mix of shops and improving green spaces on the Estate.

“StreetDots is a clever app-based business which helps independent food businesses find great places to set up stall – we’re delighted to be collaborating to bring a wide variety of top-quality street foods to customers.

“Initially – and given it’s still winter – stalls will set up on Wednesdays only, but if they prove popular they could come back more regularly when spring arrives.”

StreetDots co-founder, Atholl Milton, commented: “Customers want more than just a desk and good internet – work/life balance is just as important and access to enticing lunchtime food options is a very important part of this. The UK street food scene is booming, and we help bring the best of it to time-pushed people. We’re excited to be bringing new food options to customers in Slough.”
