Four refugees who made solo journeys to the UK as children will have their story told at The Curve.
The young men from Afghanistan, Eritrea and Albania haver had to repeatedly tell their stories to the Home Office as they have sought asylum. The desire to reclaim their stories has provided the motivation for this new innovative work.
From the precint of a pizza shop, the audience will be taken through the journey the refugees faced and the difficulties they endured along the way. It is a story of cultural and male identity and of family and fatherhood. From prisons in Libya and Greece to conversations with absent mothers to raising the next generation of sons.
