THE work of a charity that offers free interview coaching and clothing for unemployed women was revealed when the Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead Soroptimists held their March meeting.

Amanda Slade from the Smart Works charity told members that the volunteers at the charity helped boost the confidence of women waiting to return to the workplace - giving interview practice, providing suitable clothing and help with hair and make-up.

The Soroptimists donated articles of clothing and a cheque in support of this charity during the meeting.

Soroptimist branches exist internationally as a worldwide volunteer service organization helping improve the life of woman and girls.

The Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead branch regularly welcomes speakers to its meetings who spend their lives doing this.

A new member Soroptimist member Sarah Ellis was welcomed to the March meeting.
