Retirees in Maidenhead celebrated the arrival of Spring with a potted plant masterclass at the Elgar Place Retirement Homes.
The development’s club lounge on Bridge Avenue was transformed as residents took part in the flower arranging workshop led by representatives from Braywick Heath Nurseries.
All attendees to the event had the opportunity to plant a variety of spring potted plants, under the supervision of experts who shared and spoke of their passion for all thing’s horticulture.
A selection of tea and light refreshments were also on offer whilst everyone took time to admire each-others seasonal arrangements.
Kevin Sims, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone South East, said: “With the dark days of winter behind us, it was wonderful to bring homeowners and members of the local community together at Elgar Place for a very spring-like celebration.
“We certainly have a lot of talented homeowners here – the spring potted plants were rather spectacular – and the many green-fingered retirees at Elgar Place, made the most of the opportunity to learn a new skill in gardening, just in time for spring!”
