Staff and pupils at a nursery in Langley are celebrating after getting an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rating.

Inspectors praised the management and staff team at Toadhall Nursery Langley, calling them “extremely passionate and committed towards providing an exemplary level of care and teaching across the nursery”.

The nursery was previously rated as requiring improvement, with inspectors now saying staff “worked tirelessly” to make improvements “above and beyond those required” following the last inspection in March 2018.

They also commended staff members for providing a “highly stimulating environment” for all children, adding: “As a result, children are supremely eager and motivated to learn.

“They use their excellent knowledge of children’s interests and developmental progress to plan inspiring and challenging activities.

“Managers and staff have extremely high expectations of what each child can achieve. As a result, all children, including those with additional learning needs make rapid progress.

“They are extremely well prepared for the next stage in their learning and in readiness for school.”

Parents were also found to be “incredibly positive” about the support, care and learning their children receive, calling the nursery a “home-from-home”.

Inspectors observed staff to see how they worked with children and spoke to parents during their inspection in March this year.

Deputy manager Sharon Poole said: “We are really pleased with the grading. We are a chain of 13 nurseries, and we are the only nursery in the company to receive an ‘outstanding’ judgment.

“We are extremely proud as a management team to be part of this team and of how hard our practitioners work with the children and parents to be outstanding.”
