Local charity Rennie Grove Hospice Care have announced avid walkers can now sign up for this year’s Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge.
The annual event, now in it’s second decade, is a great opportunity to soak up miles of picturesque landscapes whilst raising vital funds for Rennie Grove Hospice Care.
Rennie Grove helps provide support and nursing services for people in Buckinghamshire with cancer or other life-limiting illnesses, as well as supporting their family and friends. In previous events, hundreds have taken part in memory of loved ones.
More than 600 walkers donned Rennie Grove shirts last year, walking across the Chilterns on the seven, 11 and 20-mile challenges.
Director of Fundraising at Rennie Grove Tracey Hancock: “We are grateful for all the walkers who sign up each time for the Rennie Grove Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge and put so much effort and energy into raising funds.
“The money they raise through donations and sponsorship enables us to continue to provide vital, dedicated nursing and support services for thousands of local patients and their families each year.
“Anyone who has ever taken part will know what a wonderful day it is. It’s a lovely route, with cheerful volunteers marshalling with words of encouragement and water supplies. Everyone is rewarded with a medal when they finish – even the four-legged participants.”
