A leading firefighter is warning people to think carefully about safety in their airing cupboards - after battling a house fire in Gilmore Close, Langley last night.
A Langley fire crew was called at 10pm and spent an hour and a half containing the fire inside the confined space it had started in.
Watch manager Mike Jeeves said that overloaded airing cupboards risked linen catching fire from hot pipes.
He said: "People should not overload - they need to give electrical equipment space."
