A Poundland spokesman has said the company is "shocked and upset" at the death of an employee at its Slough store who was fatally stabbed in the nearby Tesco underground car park last Wednesday.
Nadeem Uddin Hameed Mohammed, 24, is understood to have worked as an assistant manager at the Slough Poundland store near the Tesco supermarket in Wellington Street where he was found stabbed.
The Poundland spokesman said: “We’re obviously shocked and upset at what happened in Slough. Our only thoughts are for Nadeem’s family, friends, and colleagues. We’re doing everything we can to support them.”
Mr Mohammed's friends have launched a GoFundMe page to help his heavily pregnant wife, who is said to be in shock with what has happened.
Aqib Pervaiz, 26, of Rochford Gardens, Slough, was charged on Friday with one count of murder in connection with the incident.
