Marlow town council has confirmed that 24/7 security has been installed on the main access gate to Seymour Park.

Travellers occupied the recreation ground on the weekend, before leaving the Marlow site and moving to Booker Recreation Ground – also known as Fernie Fields Park – on Wednesday.

The council said on social media that the security will remain at the site "until telescopic drop-down barriers are installed in front of the gates on police advice".

Alongside a group from Community Payback, communities and amenities supervisor Barry Cross completed a litter pick on the site on Tuesday, before returning on Wednesday to clear shrub areas at the edge of the park.
