Police are investigating a number of potential leads in the investigation into the rape of an 11-year-old girl in Holmer Green – after members of the public phoned in with information.
Thames Valley Police are continuing their hunt for the attacker, who raped the girl in woodland near Watchet Lane on Saturday, June 1.
Shockwaves were sent through the community when Thames Valley Police revealed last week they had launched an investigation into the attack, which happened at around midday.
Community figures told of their shock at the “appalling” attack and urged anyone with information to come forward.
Members of the public have responded – and police confirmed they have received “a number of calls” in connection with their appeal.
No arrests have yet been made.
