A new children's theatre show with a difference is coming to the Curve at Slough next month.

Yellow is the Colour of Sunshine comes to Slough on Saturday, July 6.

It is being presented by the Leeds based theatre company tutti frutti and integrates sign language, dance and spoken word with an original musical score, to explore friendship and feelings with a cast of three performing the story of friends Hani and Yoshi.

Yoshi and Hani are as different as chalk is to cheese: one big, one small, one noisy, one quiet. Side by side they play by the blue sea, run through the green fields and dance in the yellow sunshine.

But one day the sky turns grey and everything starts to change… Will the sun ever come out again?

Tutti frutti’s new touring production has been created in consultation with Professor David Cottrell, Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Leeds University.

As scientific advisor on Yellow is the Colour of Sunshine, he has played a role in developing its themes of encouraging emotional literacy in young people, the ability to recognise emotions, to manage and feel in control of feelings and recognise emotions in others.
