Windsor's leading drama group is holding auditions for its next production - offering potential actors a great chance to relive the halcyon pre-war days of the 1930s.

Terence Rattigan's play After the Dance will be performed by Windsor Theatre Guild in the historic Guildhall this November, with one special performance planned at the Castle Hotel.

It is set in the late 1930s and tells the story of a successful writer who is still living the same hedonistic lifestyle he and his wife have enjoyed since the 1920s - but time is moving on and reality is about to catch up with them in a tragic way.

Auditions for the show are being held at Braywood School Hall in Oakley Green Road, Oakley Green on Sunday, July 28 between 3pm and 5pm, plus Tuesday, July 30 from 7.30pm to 10pm.

The Guild always welcomes new members and all are welcome to come and have a try.

The show will be performed between November 17 and 24.
