A busy furniture store that has been raising funds for Windsor's Thames Hospice in Hatch Lane for 14 years is moving to a new site.

Thames Hospice Home has been trading at its site in Tinkers Lane since 2004. Its last day of trading there will be September 21, 2019 although donations will be accepted until September 2019.

The whole operation will be relocating to Unit 9/10 Reform Road, Maidenhead on October 11 and donations can be dropped there from September 30.

Julie Rowley, director of retail for Thames Hospice, said: "I would like to extend a huge thank you to all our loyal supporters. Thames Hospice Home has been an incredible success story since it opened for business in 2004. In the last five years alone the store has generated more than £2million for the hospice.

"I am also delighted that we will be even closer to our new hospice, currently under construction by Bray Lake, Maidenhead. Our staff and volunteers are thrilled to be moving and would love everyone to join them for our official opening on October 11 at 12pm.”

The new premises will include a modern, contemporary showroom showcasing a full range of furniture and homeware from various departments including lounge, dining, kitchen, bedroom and children’s. There will also be a brand new Home Studio where customers can purchase pieces of upcycled furniture, or commission their own pieces to be upcycled.
