THOUSANDS of festival-goers stepped back in time to sing-a-long and dance to 1980’s classics.

Henley’s Rewind South festival saw famous artists and bands perform their timeless songs to excited and energetic audience members.

This years Rewind event, saw the likes of fan favourites Lulu, Belinda Carlisle and Heaven 17 and Tiffany perform.

Singer songwriter Tiffany, saw the crowd dancing along and singing to her classic hit ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ after what was described by guests as a ‘fantastic performance’. The Chronicle spoke exclusively to Tiffany ahead of her performance as she explained why she loved being in Henley as part of her album tour.

She said: “This is my first show in Henley, I have been to Henley before to have lunch and meet my friends and its absolutely beautiful. I just felt like a regular girl and it was great.

“I love festivals, all the music and the artists are amazing and it’s a lot of fun”

Tiffany explained what it was like when she arrived on the music scene as a 15-year-old girl and how it has helped her get to where she is today. The singer from Los Angeles, said: “I was just a girl who wanted to sing with a huge voice and people didn’t know too much about what to do with me, so I pretty much just got lucky.

“I was born and raised in LA , but my parents helped me a lot, they were going to keep going and it was a bit of determination, talent and luck that helped. My music is more inspiring now as a songwriter and producer and I have an album called Pieces of Me which I am on a 40 day tour with at the moment. I have been in the UK for a month now and I love it here.”

Other ‘music legends’ at Henley Rewind, included Heather Small, Four Tops, Dire Straits Experience, Johnny Hates Jazz, The Undertones and more.

Katt Lingard, event manager, said: “It has been yet another brilliant year of Rewind and we want to thank the Rewinders for all their support and passion for the

festival.

“It is because of them that this festival has such a feel-good and welcoming atmosphere, where everyone can escape and embrace the magic of the 80s and beyond.

Rewind Festival launched in 2009 at Henley-on-Thames and has seen over 400 artists hit the stage, bringing the best of the 80s.
