Transport for Bucks said the lights were "damaged beyond repair" - and two poles, two signal heads, a kerbside detector, a pedestrian crossing detector and two pedestrian displays all had to be replaced.
The repairs have now been carried out, just the roads are about to get busier with thousands of children returning to school.
Temporary traffic lights had to be put in place to control traffic and prevent any more crashes while the repairs were carried out.
Bucks County Council is now raising an insurance claims against those involved in the damage to try and recover the cost of the repairs.
Mark Shaw, deputy leader and transport cabinet member, paid tribute to the speed and efficiency with which engineers got the junction lights back to normal.
