Cash and a driving licence were stolen from a woman's home hours after she found a man - who had earlier asked her for water - in her kitchen.

Police have released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the burglary, which happened on Tuesday, August 6.

At around 4.30pm that day, the woman returned to her home in Benjamin Road, High Wycombe, and found a man waiting by her driveway who asked her to fill up his water bottle.

When the woman put her bins out later that day, at around 8pm, she left her front door open and when she went back into her house, she found the same man from before in her kitchen.

Cash and a driving licence were stolen.

The burglar is described as a white man aged in his mid to late 20s. He is around 5ft 9ins to 5ft 10ins tall and of a medium build.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Jane James, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “I am releasing an e-fit image of the offender in the hope that someone may recognise him.

“This man was in the area of Benjamin Road twice in the same day and I hope someone may be able to identify him."
