Pupils at St Peter’s Church of England Middle School in Crimp Hill Road, Old Windsor learned how food they had brought in would help others when they attended their harvest assembly on Friday.
Many pupils brought food in and it all went to Windsor Foodshare.
Foodshare provides non perishable food on a short term basis, with vouchers issued for up to four weeks to local families and individuals who would otherwise be going hungry. It helps up to 50 families per week from a distribution point at the Baptist Church, Smiths Lane, Dedworth, distributing up to 800 food items every week.
