Early bird cheaper tickets for the annual Alexander Devine Santa Dash are now available for a limited time

The 'dash' will be yet again be turning the streets of Windsor a very jolly red on Sunday, November 24 to raise vital funds to support seriously ill local children and their families.

Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service is encouraging adults, children and families from the local community to don Santa Suits and join the seventh annual Santa Dash. The 5km route, which takes in the historic sights of Windsor town as well as the Long Walk, is accessible for everyone – pushchairs, wheelchairs and four-legged friends are all welcome.

Last year saw 500 participants raising an incredible £19,000 - enough to pay for over 330 specialist play sessions that can help children and their siblings supported by the charity.

Early bird prices are available until October 31. The price of the ticket includes a Santa suit for adults and reindeer antlers for children.

All proceeds from the Santa Dash go towards Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, which provides vital support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families.

Windsor couple John and Fiona Devine created the charity in memory of their son Alexander, who died from a rare brain tumour at the age of eight. Their personal experience of caring for Alexander led them to realise that there was a need for a local children’s hospice service. Today the charity supports over 120 children and families throughout Berkshire and the surrounding counties and last year opened the doors of its children’s hospice, just outside Maidenhead.
