A man has been killed after he was hit by a van last Friday evening in Iver Heath.

At around 9.55pm on Friday, the 31-year-old man was walking southbound on the Uxbridge Road, A412, when he was hit by the red Box van.

He was taken to St Mary’s Hospital in London where he was sadly pronounced dead. His next of kin has been informed.

The driver of the van was not injured.

Investigating officer Sergeant Matthew Cadmore said: "Firstly, our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died in this collision.

"We would like to speak to anyone who has information about this incident or anyone who saw what happened.

"We would especially like anyone in the area at the time to check any available dash-cam footage.
