TWO drug dealers have been jailed for supplying heroin and cocaine in Reading.

Carla Conwill, 29 and Christopher Blanchard, 32 of Lowfield Road in Reading, pleaded guilty on October 14 at Reading Crown Court and were sentenced the same day.

Blanchard was sentenced to two years and six months' imprisonment for two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, heroin and cocaine and driving without a licence or insurance. 

Conwill was sentenced to two years and four months' imprisonment for intending to supply class A drugs.

They were both arrested on June 20 following a vehicle search by police in Howard Street in Reading and then charged the following day. 

Investigating officer PC Katie Poole of the Reading Stronghold Team, said: "Thames Valley Police has made a commitment to target the supply of drugs, and this will not be tolerated within our communities.

"This result shows the effectiveness of stop searches.
