The 1 million picture paedophile who evaded jail…again

Darren Brazier started his new collection of 1 million indecent images of children while on a suspended sentence for the same offence.

The 36-year-old was first given a chance by a judge at Swindon Crown Court in 2010 when he was caught with more than 100,000 vile pictures and movies.

But within five months Brazier was back downloading vast quantities of images of child rape on to his computers, tablets and phone.

After hearing he had sought help in the 17 months since his arrest, a Swindon judge in April decided to give him a final chance. Brazier was given a 22-month prison sentence suspended for two years.

‘Pervyman’ unmasked by IP address

Online, Corey Redshaw was known as “Pervyman”. That was the name the 21-year-old used to upload vile child sex abuse images to the internet.

Police tracked Redshaw’s IP address back to his mother’s home. Officers raided the house in May 2018 and seized data storage. Redshaw, who was not at home at the time of the raid, later went to the police station and told officers where they could find indecent material on his devices.

There were 17 pictures and movies in the worst category, a further 22 in the middle and 29 in the least serious band. They also found 745 prohibited images, almost all of them cartoons, representing children engaged in sexual activity.

In July, he was spared an immediate jail spell. He was instead sentenced to 20 months imprisonment suspended for two years, 200 hours of unpaid work and £500 costs.

'Don't worry, officers, these images are of a lesser quality...'

Evangelical Christian David Cottington admitted accessing indecent images of child abuse, but told police it was “of lesser quality” than material he had seen before.

The lorry driver has already served a two-and-a-half year jail term for molesting young girls and viewing other pictures of child abuse.

But 48-year-old Cottington admitted going back to his old ways and pleasuring himself as he viewed similar vile images at the end of the working week.

He received 10 months imprisonment suspended for two years.

Former parish councillor had indecent video on his phone

Former Haydon Wick parish councillor Damon Bower championed faster broadband speeds.

But it was how the 49-year-old used the internet that got him into trouble.

He was caught by police with a short film on his iPhone showing a girl aged between eight and 10 being sexually assaulted. It was part of a small collection of indecent images on his phone. Bower also had fantasy fiction detailing child abuse.

JAILED: Sophie Elms – Britain’s youngest female paedophile

Royal Wootton Bassett teen Sophie Elms is Britain’s youngest female paedophile. In January, she was jailed for seven years and 10 months after admitting to molesting two young children.

Elms was babysitting toddlers when she filmed herself abusing them and sent the images to known sex offenders.

The childcare student, who had been groomed as a girl of 13, sent the vile material to at least four men.

Passing sentence on the 18-year-old, Judge Jason Taylor QC told Elms: "Only time will tell what damage you have inflicted."

JAILED: Paedophile umasked by charged-up phones

Jamie Stringer was first convicted of a sexual offence when he was just 12-years-old and ended up being jailed in 2017.

He was back in Swindon Crown Court in July for breaching restrictions imposed to prevent his reoffending.

Stringer kept two mobile phones which had been returned to him by the police after he was last before a court for contacting youngsters when he was not allowed to. The 20-year-old paedophile claimed he had put the handsets in a drawer and forgotten about them for 10 months.

But when officers got hold of them they found they were charged, internet enabled and had working cameras.

Jailing him for three years and two months, a Swindon judge said Stringer was a danger to children.
