A young woman was grabbed by a stranger in a “frightening” broad daylight attack in Beaconsfield.

Detectives are hunting the man – believed to be aged around 60 – after an 18-year-old victim was targeted on Thursday.

At a time between 2.30pm and 3.15pm, in Gregories Road, near the junction of Gregories Farm Lane, the victim was grabbed on the wrist by the unknown attacker, who attempted to pull at her.

The victim managed to break free and run away. She did not sustain any injuries.

The offender is described as a white man, aged approximately 60 years old, with short grey hair and grey stubble facial hair. He was of a stocky build and between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 9ins tall.

It is believed the offender was driving a grey coloured Audi saloon car.

Investigating officer, PC Benjamin Sarl, of Amersham police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward and help with our enquiries.

“This was a frightening incident for the victim, who was grabbed on the wrist by the offender. Luckily, she managed to break free and was not injured.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen or heard something to come forward and speak to police.

“I would also like to appeal to any motorists in the area who have dash-cam footage to check it for any information relating to the grey Audi vehicle.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101, or make a report online and quote reference number 43190323595.”
