SLOUGH'S Egg Free Cake Box has welcomed the mayor and deputy mayoress through its doors as it celebrates being awarded a five star hygiene rating.
The shop in High Street produces eggless, vegetarian cream cakes for all occasions. The five star hygiene rating from 'scores on the doors' is an important added attraction.
Franchise owner Bal Kaur said: "We offer giant cupcakes and barfi, cake slices, sundae cups in a range of flavours. Khoye Ki Barfi which is 100 per cent pure buffalo milk barfi, is also available at the store."
The mayor of Slough Cllr Avtar Kaur Cheema and mayoress Cllr Harpreet Kaur Cheema were welcome visitors when they cut the ribbon to formally open the shop.
It is open seven days a week from 11am to 7pm (6pm Sundays) offering 100 per cent vegetarian cakes including fruit, chocolate orange, black forest and coconut as well as the more traditional Victoria and chocolate sponge cakes.
