PASSENGERS getting to work on the train this morning will face delays to due signalling problems.
Trains heading towards Reading have been affected due to an 'axle counter failure' between Reading and Wokingham.
South Western Railway have said that trains will be running at a reduced speed on the approach to and from leaving Reading station.
Matthew Rackley explained that his journey took three hours to get from Bracknell to Reading, despite it being a 20 minute trip.
He said: "Yes indeed it was a complete nightmare this morning, took me 3 hours plus to complete at normal 20 min trip from Bracknell to Reading. Given the change in weather conditions, I hope this is not the start of daily delays."
Trains in Ascot and Bracknell were also affected because of the signalling problem.
Delays are expected up to 20 minutes and disruption is expected until 2pm.
⚠️ #Wokingham - The fault with the signalling system between Reading and Wokingham has now been fixed and services are beginning to return to normal between these stations. However, trains may still be delayed by up to 30 minutes or cancelled whilst service recovers.
