POLICE have released a series of CCTV images after a young man was involved in a serious crash in Reading.

The man in his 20s is fighting for his life at the John Radcliffe Hospital, where he is in a serious condition.

His family has been informed and are being supported by Roads policing officers. 

The crash happened at around 9.15am on October 13 on Kings Road in Reading.

Police are searching for specific witnesses as they believe there were a number of pedestrians in the area at the time of the collision who may have seen what happened. 

The driver of the vehicle, a VW Transporter, was not injured.

Investigating officer Sergeant Gary Doughty of the Roads Policing Unit, said: "From our enquiries so far, we believe there is a number of people who have not yet come forward to speak to us following this incident.

"If you were in the area at the time of the collision and saw what happened, please contact Thames Valley Police.

"The man involved is very unwell and is still in hospital and we are working to establish all the circumstances around this incident.

"Even if you think your information may not be significant, we would like to speak to you about this incident.

"We would also like anyone with dash-cam footage or CCTV from the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.
